An Active Research Program
PortusSophia™ is an independent research program developing a candidate field architecture for Abstract Epistemic Discipline.
Rather than advancing a single theory or publication, the research is organized as a portfolio of complementary investigations. Each program examines a distinct architectural question while remaining bounded by its own declared scope, explanatory posture, and stage of development.
Each investigation is intended to stand independently while contributing to a broader architectural understanding of disciplined inquiry.

Status: Active
The central investigation of PortusSophia™.
This research asks whether disciplined inquiry itself possesses architectural conditions that remain observable across independently developed disciplines without reducing those disciplines to a common ontology, methodology, or explanatory framework.
Schema Epistemics
Status: Active
An investigation into knowledge as constraint-bearing structure rather than possession, belief, or authority.
Schema Epistemics explores how knowledge may remain structurally legible while preserving declared boundaries, explanatory scope, provenance, and observational discipline.
Regime Discipline
Status: Active
An investigation into disciplined translation across scientific, philosophical, mathematical, technical, and institutional regimes.
Regime Discipline recognizes that concepts acquire meaning within particular conditions of inquiry. Before concepts are compared or transferred across regimes, those conditions must first be examined.
Rather than assuming equivalence through shared vocabulary, correspondence must be demonstrated while preserving explanatory fidelity.
Pattern Legibility Analysis (PLA)
Status: Active
A methodological discipline for evaluating whether observed patterns remain sufficiently legible before comparison, translation, or explanation.
Pattern Legibility Analysis investigates the conditions under which independently developed observations may be responsibly compared without introducing hidden assumptions, regime collapse, explanatory overreach, or premature interpretation.
Its purpose is not to determine whether two descriptions are identical, but whether they remain architecturally comparable while preserving their own distinctions.
Pre-Relational Research
Status: Active
An ongoing investigation into architectural conditions that appear prior to stable relational description.
Current investigations include Negentropy, TRI, and EPS, each examining whether pre-relational conditions may be described without introducing ontological commitments, prescriptive claims, or explanatory inflation.
Cosymmetria™
Status: Exploratory
An investigation into reciprocal structural relations, architectural symmetry, and minimally sufficient operator sets capable of preserving coherence across differing regimes.
The work remains exploratory while its architectural commitments continue to mature.
Draconomy™
Status: Exploratory
An investigation into the architecture of uncertainty, scarcity, constraint, and decision-making under conditions of incomplete knowledge and irreversible consequence.
The work explores how disciplined inquiry may remain coherent where certainty is unavailable and explanatory authority remains bounded.

Retirement is considered part of disciplined inquiry rather than evidence of failure.
Architectural clarity is valued more highly than preserving every idea.
Continuing the Investigation
The current portfolio represents the present state of the research program rather than a completed body of work.
As investigations mature, they may be refined, expanded, formally declared, or concluded according to the same architectural commitments that govern the research itself.
Books, archival papers, and formal public declarations are maintained separately within Publications.
